This Labor Day Kick Back with KROK!
Monday, September 5th Channel 95.7 FM will be airing music specials to set the soundtrack of your Labor Day Holiday.
10am - Rave On Buddy Holly highlights tracks from the new tribute album, featuring covers of Buddy Holly’s classics by some of today’s top artists including The Black Keys, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Florence + The Machine, Julian Casablancas and more!
11am - Inside Tom Morello’s The Nightwatchman: World Wide Rebel Songs is a one-hour special featuring Morello being interviewed by Jane’s Addiction front man Perry Farrell. For his third full length album as The Nightwatchman, Tom Morello switched up his style, assumed the role of front man for a band (The Freedom Fighter Orchestra) and picked up his electric guitar to convey his messages of resistance.
12pm - Why Pink Floyd? is produced and hosted by In The Studio’s Redbeard, featuring a new interview from the only member to have remained in the group for its entire existence, drummer Nick Mason. Why Pink Floyd? will feature never-before-heard demos, live cuts, rarities and Pink Floyd classics.
1pm - Inside Red Hot Chili Peppers: I’m With You is a one-hour radio program, hosted by Matt Pinfield, as he sits down with singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer for a conversation about the recording and making of I’m With You, the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band’s tenth studio album and first new album since the two-set Stadium Arcadium in 2006.
The specials will be replayed that evening from 6pm-10pm. So this Labor Day Kick Back with KROK on Channel 95.7 FM or stream online at http://www.krok.com
