(New York, NY November 30th) – 2011 has been an incredible year for Foster The People. Columbia Records is proud to announce that the Los Angeles based trio has received two Grammy® nominations for ‘Best Alternative Album’ and ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.’
This news comes on the heels of the band’s gold certification of their celebrated album Torches. Earlier this month the band’s single, “Pumped Up Kicks,” was certified 3x platinum. The band recently made stops at SNL and Ellen to perform the hit single. They also made an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman where they played their second single “Helena Beat” and next month the band will return to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to perform their next single “Don’t’ Stop (Color On The Walls.)
